The 4 Most Annoying Traits Every Difficult Person Has

By Rayi Noormega - May 05, 2017

In this world full of 7 billion humans, at least once in your life, you will meet some people who will make your life more complicated than it has to be. They are the people who will make you cry with anger, as well as make you think that this world is too unfair to be lived in. Most of the time, they are self-centered and don’t care about anybody else but themselves. If you want to keep your well-being in balance, don’t get too involved with them. So, to avoid these kinds of people, here are 4 signs to watch out for:

1. They can’t appreciate others.

Most of the time, those difficult people are not thankful to the people around them. Since the only thing they care about is themselves, they don’t realize how important it is to appreciate others. If someone helps them, they might think that people are supposed to do that and that they don’t have to be grateful. They usually don’t give compliments to others either.

2. They like to take credit for someone else’s hard work.

More often than not, a difficult or self-centred person will make up a success story to be shared with everyone. They want to take full credit when a project or an assignment is successful. But they will also be the first to say it’s not their responsibility or fault if the project failed. They seek validation and determine their self-worth from their surroundings, and taking credit is part of that.

3. They can’t apologize.

Some difficult people tend to have a hard time admitting mistakes. They don’t want to confess their mistakes because they think that mistakes are flaws. They have a defensive attitude and ‘sorry’ is just not in their vocabulary. More often than not, they blame others to save themselves from being embarrassed, and if you are involved with these kinds of people, you might be the next one blamed.

4. They feel superior to other people.

Some difficult people think that they are better than others. Their body language and presence tends to intimidate those they are around causing them to become a leader. Everyone will now do what their leader wants, no excuses. They will strive for perfection in everything that they do, which means no mistakes are allowed to happen. Even when they’re in a team, everything they say is an order instead of an opinion or idea.
BUT AFTER ALL THE TROUBLE, THEY HELPED YOU LEARN A THOUSAND LESSONS.
A difficult person will teach you how to cope with stress, to deal with others like them, and to keep your well-being in balance. You learn to control your emotions and maintain your patience. But most of all, you will learn how not to be a difficult of person yourself.
It is hard to avoid difficult people since they will always be everywhere. Maybe, their life is harder than yours or they’re going through something difficult, who knows? Be nice to everyone and try your best not to be the kind of person people want to avoid.

If we can make other people’s life easier, the universe will make our life easier too.
